Look at the PowerPoint ‘African Patterns’.

There is quite a lot to read so ask a grown up to help you with the reading.

African art is influenced by the environment and natural surroundings; you’re going to think about how your surroundings could influence you to create a pattern.

Activity:

Create a pattern using bold colours.

 

You may like to go outside and see what patterns you can see and how they can be used in a piece of artwork.

 

There are also some African pattern colouring pages if you’d like something extra to do.

Activity:

Ask your child what they do to keep themselves healthy. Discuss their ideas with them and talk about why some things are healthier.

 

Draw three things they do that is healthy and label.
